I knew I would colour Eight Spells one day. *.* Here it is now and I especially like the shading of Rincewind's robe and hat. Hey, I even tried to depict octarine, the colour of magic, described in the books as greenish-purple. Since the book Rincewind is holding was originally not supposed to be the Octavo, it doesn't look like the Octavo. Logical, isn't it? *g* I imagine the Octavo to be rather big and heavy, so the picture doesn't necessarily have to show the showdown of "The Light Fantastic". But while colouring the sketch, I got the impression that it might be a great cover for the afore mentioned novel and here it is:
