Images of a small pin that show a very early version of the Darkwing-concept circulate on the internet. At that time the show was still to be called Double-0-Duck and Drake was supposed to look like a disneyfied version of the Scarlet Pumpernickel with a bit of a James Bond-attitude, I reckon. ;) Luckily - due to copyright reasons in fact - the show was renamed as Darkwing Duck and Drake thankfully got a proper outfit. I already feel bad for drawing him in this silly costume. xD
